The installation Parallel Flows it begins with an intermedial performance that transforms into an installation.

The interdisciplinary performance and installation Parallel Flows explore the intertwining of our senses and processes that we cannot control, yet are constantly present within and around us. It examines various materials in their transformation, duration, and shaping, unfolding before the audience’s eyes. Through the performance, the artists draw attention to usually hidden creative processes that visitors encounter upon entering the space. The live event activates the installation in the gallery, transforming it into a space of immersive experience. The artists process materials live, amplifying their sounds and performing a concert with them. During the material processing, Knez simultaneously reads a text referring to the processes we are witnessing.

DIY solar panels are used to generate sound with candles, which Knez moves around the space.

At a certain moment, we smell and hear the crackling of resin melting on a hot plate, while on the screen we see the artist pouring the molten resin into water, forming uncontrolled objects that she then arranges around the space. The artists light up analog projectors and slide projectors containing the very materials they are working with. In the last twenty minutes, the artists perform a concert with wax. Knez melts wax live in three pots, each amplified with contact microphones. The uncontrolled melting produces sounds that Dožić manipulates live. The performance concludes with a final collective act — pouring 10 kilograms of molten beeswax into water.
