Darkroom experiments

Research reflects my fascination with analog film. I do not see the film medium merely as a tool for depicting reality or as a documentary medium. I am also interested in its original creation, its possibilities for representation, and its temporality, which are connected to light and darkness, as well as to the chemical reactions recorded on the film emulsion. I am fascinated by how manipulating the image produces random treatments and momentary decisions, rather than simply presenting images in a straightforward way.

The research is open-ended, exploring different film formats and cameras outside the darkroom, as well as various DIY developers and image creation techniques, including manual printing entirely carried out in the darkroom, which is primarily a hands-on practice.
